Dixie Shive Hornby is a Central Texas native with deep roots in the Austin area. After graduating from The University of Texas’ Liberal Arts Honors Program, Dixie gained admittance into the exceptionally competitive University of Texas Law School. Shortly after beginning her new career in law, she took a leave of absence from the UT School of Law to satisfy her curiosity about Traditional Chinese Medicine and never looked back. 

As she transitioned from Law School to Acupuncture School Dixie enjoyed an improved state of health and well being that culminated in the birth of two little girls. Undeterred by her new-found motherhood, Dixie persevered with her studies and earned her Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine from the prestigious Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin. She is licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners and holds License #AC00890.

Dixie and her husband Devon are now fully immersed in family life, raising their two delightful daughters, and Dixie is thrilled with the opportunity to use her skills and knowledge of Reproductive Acupuncture to help others to experience the joys and challenges of parenthood. 

In her free time, Dixie enjoys tennis, yoga and Qi Gong, and is an avid practitioner of Yang Style Tai Chi and Wild Goose Qigong.
